CHOOSING YOUR CAREER PATH

CHOOSING YOUR CAREER PATH

Where you choose to study and what you choose to study when you leave school can be a daunting decision to have to make.
These decisions you make when you leave school will set you up for your future career. At West London Institute of Technology, your future is our priority. We welcome all students who are eager to build a successful career in construction, digital or engineering. We work with employers to design the courses making sure that you gain the skills needed by employers in specific industries.

We offer courses at Level 4 (HNC) and Level 5 (HND) in construction, digital and engineering.
Once you have completed your Level 5, you can go onto University to do a top up (Level 6) degree in your chosen subject. This is an affordable way to gain quality higher technical education. Or you can go straight into employment.

Why study STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) subjects, such as construction, engineering and digital?

The Government set up Institutes of Technology (IoTs) to tackle the skill gaps in STEM sectors. STEM jobs are expected to grow by 3.1% from 2017-2026, with West London being a hotspot for hiring STEM occupations.

Since 2011, there has been significant increase in people choosing to study STEM subjects, such as Computing Science and Engineering. This is great news, as STEM subjects have a positive impact on the economy and society.
