Dr Mahdi Hossaeini Marashi
I have worked in FE and HE institutions more than 8000 hours teaching-learning and assessment for over 10 years and have been a Senior Lecturer, Course team leader, and Lead IV in the mechanical engineering department. I am qualified-experienced lecturer in different mechanical and biomechanical subjects such as engineering mathematics, further engineering mathematics, further analytical methods, engineering design, engineering science, and advanced composite engineering materials.
I hold a PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Brunel University and currently supervising a couple of Ph.D. students at Hertfordshire University. My research experience spans a wide range of activities, involving collaborative projects and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students. I specialise in the composite structures/ materials with applications in different fields including nanotechnology, biomechanical and the oil and gas industry.
I am competent in applying a wide range of simulation packages for structural integrity, FE analysis, linear and nonlinear analysis. These include Solidworks, Materialise, SW Motion analysis, Ansys Workbench (linear and nonlinear), and Abaqus/CAE, Ansys Rigid Dynamic, Solidworks Motion Analysis - Adobe Photoshop and Corel Draw (page maker). I have extensive experience in destructive and non-destructive testing of materials and structures including tensile, compression, fatigue, impact, hardness, torsion, flexural, various heat treatments, crack detection, PUNDIT, and concrete cub testing.
